Using Iron Grid
Terms of Service
The terms for the alpha, your account, and the work you create.
Last updated: July 27, 2026
These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Iron Grid Engine alpha, related downloads, and your Iron Grid account (together, the "Service"), provided by Iron Grid Studio ("Iron Grid"). By creating an account or downloading the Service, you agree to these Terms.
CURRENT SERVICE TERMS
The current service contract.
Amounts below come from the billing service. USD, before applicable tax.
Checking the current plan and purchase availability…
OPTIONAL PAID SERVICES
Subscriptions, Hosted usage and Forge Credits
An approved paid-service catalog has not been activated. Prices and included allowances will appear in the current catalog when it is ready.
The engine remains free. A paid subscription purchases the connected services and monthly allowances shown in the current offer; it does not purchase the engine or change ownership of your projects.
Monthly subscriptions
Paid subscriptions renew monthly at the price shown at checkout, before any applicable tax, until canceled. Manage Billing lets an existing subscriber review payment details or cancel their subscription. Plan changes require a funded change scheduled for renewal. A new subscription checkout cannot silently replace an active paid subscription.
Included Hosted allowance and Forge Credits expire at each monthly renewal and do not roll over. Your account shows your own balance and renewal time. Applying a revised plan preserves existing balances and does not immediately charge or reset a customer account; existing paid subscription price changes take effect at the next renewal. Review the current offer and your account before renewing.
Hosted and BYOK
Hosted service uses the Smelty model named in your plan. Its allowance is measured in Smelty Tokens. Tasks and asset generation consume the amounts shown in your account; allowances do not guarantee a fixed number of completed games. BYOK uses your supported provider key and is billed by that provider; it includes no Iron Grid Hosted token allowance. A BYOK chat key does not pay for Iron Grid asset-generation jobs.
One-time usage packs
Forge and Hosted usage packs are separate one-time purchases at the exact quantity and price shown. Purchased balances carry forward; included monthly balances are spent first. Packs do not create an automatic recurring charge. Automatic top-ups and automatic overage charges are off.
Asset generation and Free allowances
Forge Credits pay for supported, qualified asset-generation jobs. You review the job settings and quoted credit charge before authorizing it. Different operations can cost different amounts, so credits do not guarantee a fixed number of assets or a finished game.
The free engine is available beyond the funded Free service cohort. Recurring free Hosted and Forge grants are limited to eligible accounts within the displayed funded cohort; the account usage screen confirms whether a particular account receives them.
Payment confirmation and support
Review the exact offer, recurring or one-time billing, and terms version before continuing to secure checkout. A checkout redirect or return page alone does not confirm payment. Your account shows confirmed changes. Contact support@irongrid-studio.com with your receipt if a payment or expected credit grant needs review.
Alpha Software
Iron Grid Engine is pre-release alpha software. It may contain bugs, incomplete features, and breaking changes between builds, and may be unstable or unavailable at times. Treat the alpha as a test environment: back up your project data regularly, as Iron Grid does not guarantee that projects, assets, or settings will carry forward between builds.

Your Projects & Content

Intellectual Property
Iron Grid Engine, its branding, and associated materials are owned by Iron Grid Studio and protected by applicable intellectual property laws. These Terms do not grant you any rights to Iron Grid trademarks or branding beyond what is needed to use the Service.
Disclaimer of Warranties
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including but not limited to fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation — particularly given its alpha status.
Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, Iron Grid Studio is not liable for any indirect, incidental, or consequential damages, including loss of data or project work, arising from your use of the Service.
Changes to the Service or Terms
Iron Grid may modify or discontinue any part of the Service, and may update these Terms, at any time during the alpha period. Material changes will be reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above.
Termination
You may stop using the Service and delete your account at any time. Iron Grid may suspend or terminate access to the Service for conduct that violates these Terms.
