A wider creative workspace
The native Linux editor has been built and packaged on Ubuntu. C# and Python project edit/save/Play round trips between Windows and Ubuntu have been checked, along with Linux game exports on Vulkan and OpenGL.
Ubuntu 24.04 and 26.04 x64 are the supported Linux desktop targets. Other distributions and hardware configurations may need additional validation. Choose the matching Ubuntu package on the download page.
From desktop to device
Android game exports have been checked from installed Windows and Linux editors, including Development and Shipping workflows. Launch, touch, and keyboard checks on a real tablet are part of the completed release work.
Build your gameplay, export it, and try it on the device you want people to play on. These completed checks cover specific projects and devices; keep testing your own game on its target hardware.
The everyday details matter too
The release also brings work on the tools you use between the big milestones: editing code, keeping your work safe, and talking through the next change with Smelty.
Code Problems are integrated with protection for edits in the current document. Unsaved Stage and code work is protected when closing a project or exiting.
Conversation and composer layouts fit compact panels more cleanly, with work on native Linux task cancellation and language diagnostics.
Completed work preserves the authored skybox in Runtime and exported games, alongside improvements to saving, undo, and project workflows.
